Here we are again with another week of gaming interrupted by the indie kings at Ratalaika Games throwing out yet another cheap and cheerful title; one that will once again tempt us in with its low price point and super easy to grab achievements. The game in question this time around is that of Dojoran and it’s available on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch right now.
Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, optimised for Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Dojoran originally came out of the Nautlander stable, pushing out precision platforming action like there is no tomorrow.
It’s Ratalaika who have picked it up now though delivering us a world full of danger as we leap from platform to platform utilising a series of secret techniques.
And leaping is exactly what we’ll be doing too as in Dojoran we take charge of a little frog who is on a mission to become at one with themself, honing the skills, abilities and techniques of their frog ancestors.
28 stages of complexity awaits this little frogger, with the difficulty in completion ramping up as we move through the levels at hand. With a glorious (and we won’t have you tell us otherwise as this is what we grew up with), 1-bit pixeled artstyle powering this frog to new heights, a multitude of checkpoints and infinite lives, we’re sold on the premise. Throw in some extremely precise, massively simple to understand controls, and that should be enough to warrant a little look.
Of course, with this being a Ratalaika Games game, the price comes into it as well. £4.99 is all you need to pay up in order to take on this adventure.
Keep an eye out for our full review of Dojoran on Xbox in the days ahead, but if you’re wanting to take the leap yourself, get over to the store of your choosing – Xbox Store, PlayStation Store or Nintendo eShop.
Life is not as easy and simple as it seemed in your childhood. To survive in a world full of dangers, you must go through the difficult ninja training of frogs using secret techniques created by your ancestors. To accomplish this, you’ll need to use apples to perform a double jump in different ways than usual. Each death is an apprenticeship to improve reflexes and control the character.
