Inked: A Tale of Love draws a line to Xbox

Originally set to launch alongside PC and Nintendo Switch drops back in August, Inked: A Tale of Love was pushed back at the very last minute by the Pixmain and Somnium Games teams in order to ensure that it would arrive on all platforms in the very finest state, pushing out a beautiful experience to all. It’s now time however for Xbox gamers to get in on the action.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Inked: A Tale of Love promises to deliver a beautifully drawn story which you’ll really be able to get to grips with.

It sees you playing as a Nameless Hero, one who is trying to work their way through a world that has been created by ballpoint pen. It’s here where you come in, helping guide the hero through the landscape, taking in puzzles, solving mysteries and hunting down the protagonist’s one true love – Aiko.

This is a tale that has been inspired by old Japanese folk stories, promising to deliver a deep, touching adventure like none other. But this isn’t just a narrative driven affair, and the 60 odd puzzles that are spread across 10 worlds won’t be your only focus, for the power of a magic paintbrush constantly comes to the fore, helping you overcome obstacles and traps that the world throws your way.

Throw in some fourth wall breaking narratives and a relationship that builds between the narrator and artist, and we’ve got something here that could well be special. We’ll find out for sure in our full review of Inked: A Tale of Love on Xbox soon.

You’ll be able to get involved yourself by taking a trip to the digital store of your choosing. Inked is already available on Switch and PC, but now also on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for £8.39. Just be aware that this is listed ass a Creators Collection title and that means you’re going to be left wanting in termss of achievements.

You may also find it on the PlayStation Store too.
