All aboard – Bus Simulator 21 rolls out onto Xbox, PlayStation and PC

It may seem strange, but there’s certainly a big call of the simulator. Whether that be having the chance to ride the railways, to go lawn mowing, to live out the life of a bee or to hone your skills as a surgeon, there are a host of real-world opportunities found dropping into the virtual one. But perhaps none have gathered up as much interest as the chance to climb aboard Bus Simulator 21.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC, astragon and stillalive studios are now giving console and PC players the chance to build on their previous life as a bus driver in the original Bus Simulator back in 2019, as they go big with the ’21 edition.

It’s priced at £44.99 and should be found taking all the good bits from the original game, and building on them enough to allow for all new bus driving experiences, as players get the chance to travel both American and European roads.

There are no less than 30 licensed buses present in Bus Simulator 21, with double-deckers, e-buses and more all ready to be driven. They come from a variety of real-world manufacturers too, with Volvo, Scania and Blue Bird amongst those finding a home in this sim.

For many who find themselves stumping up the cash for Bus Simulator 21 it’ll be the open-worlds and the chance to drive around them which will be of most interest. And this time there is a greater feel to everything that has been included. A whole ton of customisation options are present, management features come to the fore, and a more realistic feel – mostly thanks to the new visuals, day/night cycle and weather effects – should mean that anyone jumping behind the wheel of any of the buses here, will feel massively immersed.

When you include single player and multiplayer options too, along with fast travel and detailed timetables for those looking for depth, and well, there are many reasons to be interested in this one. In fact, the rather deep key features list alone is well worth checking out…

  • 30 authentic buses from renowned manufacturers, including a double-decker bus and e-buses
  • Drive alone or together with friends in cooperative multiplayer mode
  • Expansive European and North American map with varied districts
  • Even greater open-world approach that will make you itch to explore both maps
  • Refined management features, such as creating timetables and route planning
  • Different difficulty levels and play modes are available for a wide range of player types
  • More realism thanks to improved graphics, new dynamic weather, a day-night cycle, and a new AI for pedestrians and traffic
  • The new character creator has more than 15,000 design combinations for you to customize your bus driver’s looks
  • Less time in menus and more time on the road thanks to freely usable convenience features such as fast travel, fast forwarding time, and directly taking over AI buses in your own fleet
  • Various customization options: Personalize your buses’ surfaces with different colors, patterns, and ads
  • Various settings: activate or deactivate potholes in the roads, enable or disable the operation of the ticket machine, and much more
  • Master challenging traffic situations: narrow roads, oncoming traffic, serpentines, a busy bus terminal etc.

We’ll have a full review of Bus Simulator 21 on Xbox Series X coming your way very soon. Whilst you wait for that you’ll be able to grab a full download by visiting the digital store of your choosing. The game is present and playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
